In unsurprising news

Today Stephen Harper and Michael Ignatieff announced a deal to prop up the government. As you've probably guessed Ignatieff sold out the working class for vague promises about EI. I can only assume that now Stephen Harper is even more "On Probabtion."

After all, now there's a blue ribbon comittee.

Liberal. Tory. Same old. Story.

Will there be an election?

Ujjal Dosanjh doesn't want one. Don't forget, his keen political insights caused Gordon Campbell to win the largest Liberal majority in BC's history. Unfortunately he was the NDP premiere at the time.

Then he switched to the Liberals and served as a minister in Paul Martin's government. Paul Martin's government lost the next election. Jack Layton's seat count went up.

What we really need to do is have him run for the Conservatives. That will ensure Harper's loss.

Until that day comes, we should probably listen to his advice, and do the opposite.

The Liberals need the NDP

Some reports today are claiming that the Liberals are in trouble because of Ignatieff's shift to the right.

Other reports say that he's blown a major chance to stop Harper.

Given that voting Liberal instead of NDP didn't work in '06 or '08 it's going to be a hard sell in the next election.

The problem is that Ignatieff needs to learn to be a team player. With one right wing party and the BQ getting 50 seats, there's just no way he can get a majority.

The only winning strategy for him is to learn to work with the NDP. He should put fewer resources into winning urban seats and focus on the rural/suburban areas where the Liberals go head to head with the Reformatories.

That's the only way to stop Harper. But I don't think he's listening. It's a shame that Rae didn't win, at least he used to have morals.

Huh?

Many youtube videos are excellent.

Some of them can be a bit muddled. I have no idea if this is for or against the Liberals. It may be some sort of art project.

Big News on Net Neutrality

Today New Democrat Charlie Angus introduced a bill on Net Neutrality in the house. Geist has details.

Wikipedia has a good article on network neutrality if you aren't familiar with it. Essentially it's about a persons right to use the bandwidth they pay for as they see fit. Read more.
